Overview

This project demonstrates how a legacy Microsoft Access system can be reviewed, stabilised and prepared for migration to a more scalable database platform such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Many small businesses rely on Access databases built over time, often with duplicated fields, inconsistent data entry and limited reporting. This project focuses on identifying the existing structure, improving data consistency, documenting relationships, and designing a migration path that reduces risk and downtime.

The end result is a practical roadmap for moving from a desktop database setup to a modern database-backed web or desktop system while keeping business operations running.
